Israel sharply responds to UN Security Council call to cease fire in Gaza
The UN Security Council resolution on a truce between Israel and Hamas militants is divorced from reality and meaningless. This was stated by Israel’s permanent representative to the international organization Gilad Erdan.

“The UN Security Council resolution is divorced from reality and meaningless,” Gilad Erdan wrote on the social network X. He added that Israel will continue to act in connection with international law regardless of the Security Council’s decision.
The UN Security Council approved a resolution calling for a truce between Hamas and the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). UN representatives justified their decision by allowing humanitarian organizations to resume food assistance to civilians in the Gaza Strip. 12 countries voted for it. Earlier, the International Court of Justice initiated a case on Israel’s occupation of Palestinian lands, RAPSI reports.
