The Russian Aerospace Forces hit an underground terrorist shelter in the Syrian province of Idlib
The Russian military in the province of Idlib in Syria hit an underground terrorist shelter, said the deputy head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties (CPVS) in the republic, Rear Admiral Vadim Kulit.

“The Russian Aerospace Forces launched a strike in the area of the village of Maayan in Idlib province against the targets of illegal armed groups involved in shelling the positions of Syrian government troops. The terrorists’ underground shelter was hit,” Kulit said at a briefing.
According to him, over the past 24 hours in the Idlib de-escalation zone, six attacks on the positions of Syrian government troops were recorded from the terrorist groups Jabhat al-Nusra (banned in the Russian Federation) and the Islamic Party of Turkestan*: in the province of Aleppo – one shelling, in the province Latakia – five attacks.
Kulit noted that as a result of shelling carried out by militants of illegal armed groups on the positions of Syrian government troops, two Syrian soldiers were killed.
In addition, the deputy head of the Russian TsPVS stated that “the aviation of the so-called “international anti-terrorist coalition” led by the United States continues to create dangerous situations in the skies of Syria, flying in violation of the Deconfliction Protocols and in violation of Syrian airspace.”
“During the day, the “coalition” recorded two cases of violation of the Deconfliction Protocols of December 9, 2019, related to flights of unmanned aerial vehicles that were not coordinated with the Russian side,” he said.
“In the Al-Tanf area, nine violations were recorded per day by two pairs of F-16 fighters, two pairs of F-18 fighters and a multi-role unmanned aerial vehicle MQ-1C of the coalition,” Kulit emphasized.
